Page Crow began plant study at the age of 6,
from Elenor Finke RN and master gardener. In her 60s, with decades
of experience in nursing with conventional medicine, Elenor taught
that “Food is the best medicine…” Elenor awoke
an interest in plants and flowers and taught Page foods, spices
and herbal plant medicines. In high school a terrible car accident
landed Page Crow in Dr. Ray Boring’s chiropractic office,
after the surgeons said there was no hope. The miracle that is chiropractic
was revealed to the teenager and there was no looking back. One
week out of high school, he enrolled at UMKC to begin pre-chiropractic
studies. At that same time, a chance purchase of a set of acupuncture
charts from a garage sale started the path toward eastern healing
arts. Those charts were bedroom art. During chiropractic school,
while in study, Page would sit and stare at the acupuncture charts,
knowing nothing whatsoever about meridian therapy. However, those
paths and lines were burning a mental image in the brain from the
years of visual inspection. The connection had not yet been made.
Western trained in chiropractic college, young
Dr. Page Crow accepted a mentor\apprentice relationship with Dr.
Ray Boring, Independence, MO. 25 years clinical experience, Ray’s
father, Buell had 50 years. It was like working as a third generation
chiropractor, the distilled experience and wisdom was well received.
Fundamental\straight\disciplined Meric style chiropractic was the
practice and apprenticeship 1986-89.
Beginning in 1989, private practice full time provided
exposure to the awakening of the American consciousness to other
forms of healthcare, besides western conventional medicine. Dr.
Crow was on the cusp of the change during the internet revolution,
when knowledge and truth in healing were no longer suppressed. Acupuncture
education was formalized with fellows certifications from both Drs.
Amaro and Yennie, acupuncture masters and educators. Constant study
in eastern healing arts is currently the norm. Acupuncture is gaining
public acceptance and the public are curious. That practice is always
growing.
In the middle 1990’s, Dr. Page Crow experienced
the premature deaths of both of his parents from cancer and other
degenerative diseases. Watching many patients lose life early to
massive degeneration, it was discovered by Dr. Crow (not a new discovery,
of course) that most Americans know very little about their own
body. In fact, the knowledge of how to take care of all the different
parts of the human body seems to have been eliminated from the American
experience. We are not taught very much at all beyond brushing our
teeth. Thus premature, massive, and widespread degeneration sets
in early beginning in teenagers. By the time a person is in their
30s, failures begin in the human body. Is this path intentionally
set for us in America?
The specific application of routine self-maintenance
is the key to prolonging and improving the human body and mind.
A healthy body begets a healthy mind and visa\versa.
Enter the next teachers: Drs. John R. Christopher
ND & Richard Schulze ND, both herbalists and naturopaths. Christopher,
a lifetime healer, had 8 decades of experience and wisdom. Schulze,
is a “radical” naturopath, outspoken and critical of
the current trends in healthcare today. These healers teach their
patients how to fix serious illness and “incurable”
diseases. Dr. Crow has continued study in herbology and natural
healing since 1996.
Eastern Traditional Chinese healing and American
Indian medicine man wisdom are combined with modern principles of
scientific eastern\western acupuncture principles. The “New
Medicine” combines the best of eastern philosophy with western
science and also traditional healing (empirical) with modern diagnostic
capabilities. It’s all coming together.
Dr. Crow’s current clinical practice is focused
on musculoskeletal healing, using a combination of chiropractic
and acupuncture. The results are…very cool. Natural Healing
works.
The future is the new chapter: post-graduate teaching
of other doctors and healers. Dr. Crow wants to share his combined
education and experience, and good luck for being in the right place
at the right time. Teaching other health care providers will exponentially
increase the number of people who can be reached with the message:
“You really can heal your own body of serious illness using
natural healing and routine maintenance.” Subjects for post-grad
education include chiropractic, acupuncture, herbology, natural
healing, and psychoneuroimmunology- the study of the mind\body\spirit
connection.
